Below the spectacular chalk cliffs, a dramatic setting for the patient surfer. Sand banks reveal themselves at low tide producing fun waves on a solid NW swell. Worth the wait.
Best from September to March, when large Atlantic depressions send a swell into the Channel.

The ideal wind at Ault comes broadly from East: it's offshore, which helps shape and hold the waves. A strong onshore wind generally degrades conditions.
