La Galea is in a class of its own — not just a surf spot but one of Europe's premier big wave venues, made famous by the Punta Galea Challenge. A long right over a rocky bottom that only truly fires when the swell is powerful.

The ideal wind at Punta Galea comes broadly from South: it's offshore, which helps shape and hold the waves. A strong onshore wind generally degrades conditions.
