One of the best peaks in the Essaouira region, a reef break with mainly rights near the Sidi Kaouki mausoleum. Needs a consistent NW swell. Wind is almost always present — ideal for kitesurf and windsurf too. The rugged landscape and mystical marabout make it one of Morocco's most atmospheric setups.
October to April is ideal. NW swells fire regularly, with less rain than Europe.
Good level required. You can stand, paddle and read a peak. When it fires, better know what you're doing.
Direct access from the beach, but mind the rocky bottom. Wetsuit + booties recommended, do not surf at low tide.
